Notices only work if they were properly served, and being able to show when and how is often the whole argument. This is a covering letter to accompany the correct statutory notice for your circumstances.

The template
Dear [tenant name], Property: [full address of the property] I am writing as the landlord of the above property in connection with your tenancy dated [date of tenancy agreement]. Please find enclosed [name of the notice you are serving].
